Campman, Helen (28 July 1886 - 7 March 1959)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday Afternoon from the Congregational church for Mrs. Wm. A. (Helen) Campman, who died Saturday.  She had been ill for several months. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey officiated at the services and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

The former Helen Holmes, daughter of the late Albert C. and Cara (Downer) Holmes, she was born July 28, 1886, in the Town of York. She received her education in the Neillsville schools and on January 16, 1907, was married to Wm. A. Campman in Neillsville.

 

She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Mrs. J. Carleton Jones, and a granddaughter, Cara Jean Jones.

 

Mrs. Campman was a member of Carmi Chapter, No. 63, Order Eastern Star and of the V. F. W. Auxiliary.

 

Two songs, "The Twenty-Third Psalm "and "Softly and Tenderly" were sung by Mrs. Robert D. Peters, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

Pallbearers were: Russell Drake, Henry Thomsen, Bruce F. Beilfuss, Milton C. Rosekrans, Milo R. Mabie, and Howard O. Geise.

 

Among those from away here for the services were: Neil Downer, Mrs. R. R. Rath, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grimm, Stratford; and Mrs. Alfred Zillmer, Greenwood.
