Nikolay, Anne (Marriage - 1 Sept. 1960)

Miss Anne Nikolay and Tom Talaska, both of Milwaukee, were united in marriage at St. Gerard’s Catholic church, Milwaukee, Saturday, Sept. 1. Marriage vows were repeated at 10 o’clock in a double ring service preceding the nuptial high mass.

Attending the couple were the bride’s sister, Mrs. Eugene Hess, and the groom’s brother, Frank.

For her wedding the bride chose an informal bridal gown of white taffeta. She wore a finger tip veil attached to a beaded crown and carried a cascade bouquet of pink garnette roses, white baby mums and stephanotis.

Mrs. Hess wore a street length dress of pink and beige plaid chiffon and beige accessories. She carried pink and bronze baby mums arranged in a cascade bouquet.

Mrs. Anna Nikolay, Abbotsford, mother of the bride, wore a beige dress with gold design and beige accessories, and had a shoulder corsage of pink and garnette roses, baby mums and carnations.

Mr. and Mrs. Royal Archambo, godparents of the bride, were also honored with corsage and boutonniere. Mrs. Archambo’s was made of red roses and white mums and carnations.

Following the ceremony, dinner was served at Scheckenbach’s and a reception was held later at the Hess home.

A double ring wedding cake, made by Miss Elsie Bremer, Abbotsford, was the centerpiece at the bridal table.

Mr. and Mrs. Talaska left on a wedding trip to Portland, Ore., and on their return, will make their home in Milwaukee, where the bride is employed as a switchboard operator in the city hall and the groom is employed at the Allen-Bradley co.

Attending the wedding from here were Mrs. Anna Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. James Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nikolay, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Archambo, Mr. and Mrs. John Nikolay, and Mr. and Mrs. John Reichersamer.
