Fehrenbach, William (7 Nov. 1874 - 29 May 1960)

 

William Fehrenbach, 86, Curtiss, died Sunday at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where he had been admitted a day earlier. The body was taken to the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at Owen.

 

He was the father of Mrs. Eldred Schraufnagel and Mrs. Lieders.

Funeral services for William Fehrenbach Sr., 85, Curtiss, who died May 29 at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, were held last Wednesday afternoon at the Curtiss Evangelical church. The Rev. Donald Olson officiated and internment was made in the Pine Hill cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Orville A. Laabs, A. M. Erickson, Art Thompson, Albert Klessig, Frank Peissig and Franklin Kraut.

 

William Fehrenbach was born in Witzenhausen, Germany, Nov. 7, 1874, and came to this vicinity in 1881, settling at Stetsonville. He was married July 7, 1904 to Mary Dunow, and in 1916 they moved to Curtiss.

 

He is survived by his wife, two sons, and six daughters. Nine grand children and two great grand children also survive.

 

A brother and sister preceded him in death.
