Strebe, Frank H. (25 May 1883 - 24 Jan. 1960)

 

Frank H. Strebe, 76, rt. 1, Waupaca, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 24, at the Riverside Memorial hospital at Waupaca, after an illness of two months. Burial was made at Weyauwega following services held Thursday afternoon.

 

He was born May 25, 1883, in Marathon county near Abbotsford, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Strebe. He moved to Sheridan in 1928 and lived there until he moved to his present residence near Waupaca two years ago. From 1935 until 1949 he operated the lumber business at Sheridan, and since then, he was a salesman for the Berg Bara Equipment Co., and also sold concrete silos for a Beaver Dam concern.

 

On Jan. 6, 1909, he married Theresa Windl at Abbotsford. She died in 1953, and on Apr. 6, 1957, he married Julia Adams of Iola, who survives him. He is also survived by four sons, Clarence of Manawa, Robert of Montello, Vilas of Sheridan and Orville of Waupaca; two daughters, Mrs. Karl (Estella) Damrau, Amherst, and Mrs. Kenneth (Elmira) Morey, Sheridan; 15 grand children and two great grand children; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Mcluty of Clear Lake, Wash., and Mrs. Frank Provinski, Abbotsford; two brothers, George of Clear Lake, Wash., and Pearl of Livingston, N.J.

 

He was a member of the board of directors of the Community Co-op at Amherst for many years until two years ago.
