Dehne, Edward F. (3 Feb. 1883 - 28 Nov. 1959)

Funeral services for Edward F. Dehne, who died Saturday evening at the Havenet Nursing Home at Owen, were held at the Evangelical and Reformed church at Colby Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Victor Grosshuesch officiating. Internment was made in the Colby cemetery.

Mr. Dehne was born in Manitowoc county, Feb. 3, 1883 and received his education there. His marriage to Lydia Ortmeier, of the same county, took place June 5, 1913.

In 1916, they moved to the town of Hull and operated a farm until 1956 when they came to Abbotsford and made their home with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Masiewicz. Mr. Dehne had been ill for about the past three years and was 76 years old at the time of his death.

Mr. Dehne was a town of Hull supervisor and held church offices at intervals.

Surviving him are his widow, four sons, Elmore and Arnold, Abbotsford; Paul of Gardens and Raymond of San Diego, California, and one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Gertrude) Masiewicz, Abbotsford.

There are three grand children in California; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Stock and Mrs. Hulda Hintz, both of Newton; and one brother, Paul Dehne, of Sheboygan.

A son died in infancy and four sisters and four brothers also preceded him in death.
