Pleasant Ridge (4 Sept 1913)

 

Mrs. Bert Swann went to Eau Claire Monday afternoon to undergo an operation for appendicitis.  Bert and Mrs. Geo. Swann and her father accompanied her.  She came through the operation all right and it is hoped she may recover rapidly.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wall of Loyal spent the weekend with relatives here.

 

Mr. Wall and wife of Loyal, Jim Hughes and family spent Sunday with Mrs. Tom Counsell.

 

Mrs. H.O. Huckstead and daughter spent two or three days with relatives at Black River Falls last week.

 

John Wildisch and wife attended church here Sunday.

 

There was a surprise party on Mrs. Frank Drescher one evening last week, it being her birthday.

 

Grandma Counsell and Helen Short spent last Wednesday with Herb Counsell and wife.

 

Clara Drescher did sewing last week for Mrs. Hagie in Shortville.

 

John Counsell is hauling cream now.  Roy Stanley hauled two weeks as Clyde Raine took a month’s vacation.

 

Sadie Blackman went to Columbia Sunday where she began teaching on Sept. 1st.

 

Marrion Wren is here from the west.
