Wichman, Louisa (14 OCT 1872 - 8 FEB 1951)

 

Mrs. Louisa Wichman was born in Sheboygan Co. on Oct. 14, 1872 and passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Thursday, Feb. 8, 1951, following an illness of four weeks.

 

The deceased was married in Sheboygan to Henry Wichman on Dec. 5, 1890 and lived there until moving to the township of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1910, where she and her husband were engaged in farming.  They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1940 and her husband preceded her in death on July 24, 1942.  She was baptized in the Lutheran church and confirmed in 1886 in Sheboygan.

 

Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Rosa) Delo, Loyal, R. 1; Clarence, Athens; Mrs. Art (Edna) Joss, Wausau; Orville, Loyal, r. 1, and Mrs. Lawrence (Evelyn) Firnstahl, Loyal.  Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Dosey, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Wm. Westenberger, Chicago, also survive.  Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

 

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:45 from the Myre Funeral Home, and at 2 o’clock from the Trinity Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Ortwin and Virgle Joss, Jerome, Victor and Merlin Delo and Mike Hubing.

 

The Tribune extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives in their loss of a love one.
