With the Fifteenth Air Force Service Command in Italy.
As part of the redeployment program of service command troops, the 540th air Service Group soon will be sent to the United States for further training and regrouping prior to being moved to the Pacific Theater to prosecute the war against the Japanese.
The 540th is one of many service groups being moved from the Italian Theater to the Pacific through the United States.
All personnel will be given furloughs upon arrival in the United States before training is started for the task in the Pacific.
One of the men of the 540th Air Service Group is Pfc. Clyde C. Waldhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Waldhart, who is a truck driver in the group.
