Dommer, Martha (12 March 1910 - 17 October 1987)

Spencer - Martha Dommer, 77, Spencer, died Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. William Ruhbusch will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the Rux Funeral home, Spencer.

She was born March 12, 1910, in Pierce, Neb., to the late August Carsten’s.  She received her education in Pierce.  She was married Jan. 3, 1927, to Emil Dommer in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They farmed in Nebraska until 1956, when hey moved to the Town of Sherman (Clark Co.)  They operated a farm there until retiring in 1970.  In 1962, they moved to Spencer where they have resided since. 

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, LeRoy of Riplinger and Duane of Spencer; a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Marian) Nelson, of Spencer; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
