Stone, Ruby Pearl (4 June 1930 –12 August 2010)

 

Ruby P. Stone, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at the Marshfield Care Center in Marshfield.

 

Ruby Pearl Stone was born June 4, 1930, in Neillsville, the daughter of Curtis and Irene (Voldsness) Stone. She graduated from Neillsville High School and went to work in Eau Claire for the County Medical HealthCare Center for a year.  Ruby moved back to Neillsville where she worked at the Farmers Union Co-op/Cenex Supply as a secretary from 1952 until her retirement in 1993.

 

Ruby loved cats and flowers, traveling and bowling, but mostly spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. John’s Ladies and the Owl’s Club.

 

She is survived by three nephews, Frank (Darlene) Fabian Jr. of Greenwood, Michael (Donna) Fabian of Neillsville and Jody (Stephanie) Fabian of Augusta; great nieces and nephews, Matthew, Miranda, Conner, Jacob, Teaera and Traven Fabian; and an uncle, Harvey (Lou) Stone of B. C.

 

Preceding Ruby in death were her parents and a sister Maxine (Frank) Fabian.

 

Funeral services for Ruby were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at St. John’s Evangelical Church in Neillsville, Pastor Timothy Biebert officiated.  Judy Trunkel, organist, provided music.  Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at the Gesche Funeral home in Neillsville and again from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.  Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
