  Severson, Lisa J. (17 JUL 1963 - 27 JUL 2010)

 

NEILLSVILLE -- Lisa J. Severson, 47, of Neillsville, formerly of Greenwood, died at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Rob Love will officiate and burial will follow in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kayla Eckes, Orey Eckes, Ashley Hoffman, Jacob Leichtnam, Travis Leichtnam and Dale Severson.

Visitation will be held on Friday at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Lisa Jean Eckes was born on July 17, 1963, in Marshfield, the daughter of Dorothy P. (Kohnhorst) and Frank A. Eckes Jr. She grew up and received her education in Marshfield, graduating from Marshfield High School in 1981. Lisa went to work at O.D.C. in Marshfield until moving to Greenwood, where she began working for Adult Development Service.

She was united in marriage on Aug. 9, 1989, to Robert A. Severson in Neillsville. Robert died June 20, 2001. She continued to work at ADS until January 2010.

Lisa had many interests, including her love of country music; spending time with her family and friends, especially her great-niece Lily Leichtnam; reading books and magazines; and going on outings.

She will be sadly missed by her parents, Frank and Dorothy Eckes of Marshfield; her brother, Tom (Jayne) Eckes of Hewitt; her sister, Laura (Randy) Ertl of Marshfield; two nieces; three nephews; one great-niece; her father- and mother-in-law, Lester and Helen Severson, of Loyal, and their family.
