Przybylski, Chester Peter (4 June 1927 - 9 August 2010)

 

Chester P. Przybylski, age 83, of Stevens Point, WI, formerly of Thorp, WI, passed away at Harmony Living Center, in Stevens Point, on Monday August 9, 2010.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday August 13, 2010 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp.  Rev. Keith Apfelbeck and Rev. Brian Jazdzewski will officiate and burial will follow in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Chester Przybylski, Jr., Charles Przybylski, Karla Przybylski, Nicholas Przybylski, Amy Przybylski and Daniel Przybylski.  Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. combined Knights of Columbus and parish rosary service.  Visitation will also be held at the church, on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

 

Chester Peter Przybylski was born on June 4, 1927 in the Township of Withee, rural Thorp, WI, to William and Lottie (Nowicki) Przybylski.  He attended local schools and Thorp High School.  He was united in marriage to Caroline Digoski on May 1, 1954 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard, WI.  They lived and farmed in the Town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, for 38 years, before moving to the city of Thorp in 1992.  He had currently been living with his son, Chester Jr., since December 2009 in Stevens Point.  Chester worked most of his life farming.  In his younger years, he worked for a while at Blue Moon Cheese in Thorp, and Thompson Wire in Chicago. Chester loved playing the Pearl Queen concertina for years and performed around the area before getting married.  Chester enjoyed fishing, traveling with Caroline, Polka music, and spending time with his sons and grandchildren.  He was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, in Thorp, WI, and the Knights of Columbus, Queen of Peace Council #4634, in Thorp, WI.

 

Surviving are two sons: Chester M. Przybylski Jr. of Stevens Point, WI, and Charles (Lana) Przybylski of Thorp, WI; five grandchildren: Christopher (Samantha), Karla, Nicholas, Amy and Daniel Przybylski; and one brother, Florian (Cecelia) of Thorp, WI.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Caroline, on July 16, 1999 and his parents.
