Habhegger, Catherine (01 SEPT 1948)

The Rev. Raymond Kronberger of Sabula, Ia., a brother of the groom, officiated at the 2 o’clock ceremony at the Trinity Lutheran church here on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 1, when LaVerne Kronberger claimed Miss Catherine Jean Habhegger as his bride. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Habhegger, and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Kronberger.

The bride wore a brown gabardine suit, matching hat and white and yellow accessories. Her corsage was of yellow roses.

Miss Lois Habhegger was her sister’s maid of honor, wearing a grey gabardine suit and Kelly green hat. A corsage of gladioli was pinned to the shoulder. Mrs. Orville Luchterhand, the bridesmaid was dressed in a wine red gabardine suit and a grey wine-trimmed hat. She wore a corsage of gladioli.

Best man was Harold Hilbert, with Orville Luchterhand and groomsman. Misses Velma Gardner and LaVine Morse, cousins of the bride and groom respectively, were usherettes.

At 3 p.m. a reception was held at the bride’s home, and a supper was served at 5 p.m. in the church parlors.

Both are graduates of the Loyal high school, the groom with the class of 1937 and the bride with the class of 1948. Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Canada, they will engage in farming.

Guests attending from out of town were the Rev. and Mrs. Kronberger of Sabula, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Witte and son, David of Fort Atkinson, Mrs. William Zuege and granddaughter of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Lehmann of Watertown, and Mrs. Ervin Schlender of Clintonville.

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its heartiest congratulations and best wishes for the future.
