Chant, Dustin  (15 APRIL 1981-08 JULY 2010)

 

Dustin Chant, 29, Cascade, Idaho, died on Thursday, July 10, 2010, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, July 13, at the Cascade Community Church. Pastor Will officiated. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Olson Jr., Skylar Guest, Michael Schroeder, Allan Edmonson, Wade Olson, Peter Olson and Nick Mack.

 

Dustin Douglas Chant was born on April 15, 1981, in Boise, Idaho, to Tom and Sharon (nee Rueth) Chant. He received his education at Cascade High School, where he participated in football and basket ball. He developed a passion for technology, especially in computers. After high school, he became a licensed mortgage broker. He was recently employed at Across the Tracks, a new sports bar in Cascade. He had a zest for life, an unforgettable smile, and a great sense of humor.

 

He will be sadly missed by his father, Tom Chant, Cascade; his mother, Sharon (Tom) Olson, Cascade; one sister, Kadie (Mike) Schroeder, Boise; two step-brothers, Wade (Ashley) Olson, Cascade, and Peter Olson, Cascade; one step-sister, Darcie (Allan) Edmonson, Cascade; his maternal grandparents, Herb and Kathleen Rueth, Parma, Idaho, special friend, Amanda Robinson and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents and a cousin, Craig Rueth.

Summers Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
