Hannan, Therese (17 DEC 1966)

Wedding vows were exchanged by Therese Hannan, Denver, Colo., and Charles Vesel, also of Denver, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, on Saturday, Dec. 17, 1967.

Rev. Father Edward Bertz, cousin of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hannan, route 2, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. John Vesel, Greenwood, and the late Mrs. Vesel.

The church choir provided the music for the 12 o’clock noon Nuptial High Mass.  Bouquets of white mums flanked the altar.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was seen in a gown of white re-embroidered Alencon lace, a batteau neckline edged with a scalloped pattern of lace and a double tier flared sleeve accented the fluted empire bodice.  The soft A-line skirt was detailed at the hem by a deep scallop border of lace.  Her lace and peau du soie Camelot headpiece was secured to a cathedral length veil of white silk illusion.  She carried white orchids arranged against eucalyptus leaves.

The maid of honor, Miss Annette Hannan, San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Karen Burns, Chicago, Ill., was the bridesmaid.

They were seen in long A-line dresses of cerise colored chiffon.  The elegant empire bodice was accented with a scoop neck and long pouf sleeves.  The matching three tiered illusion headpieces and shoes completed their outfits.  They carried duchess bouquets of forever yours roses.

Brian Moore, Madison, served as best man, and Robert Putz, Milwaukee, as groomsman.

Performing the ushering duties were Paul Bureau Jr., Milwaukee, and Ralph Landini, Greenwood.

A luncheon and reception were held at the Casa Loma, Marshfield.

The bride graduated from Spencerian College in 1961 and was associated with Pi Rho Zeta.  She ahs been employed as a freelance court reporter in San Francisco, Calif.  The groom graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1963, and he was associated with Delta Upsilon.  He is a District Sales Representative, Allis Chalmer Engine Division.

After a wedding trip spent at Aspen, Colorado skiing, the couple will make their home at 379 E. 11th Ave., Denver, Colo.
