Busch, Jeanette (13 JAN 1956)

Wedding guests assembled at Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Greenwood, Saturday afternoon, Jan. 13, 1956, at 3 o’clock to witness the marriage of Miss Jeanette Marilyn Busch, daughter of Mrs. Fred Busch, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Edmund V. O’Konski, son of Mr. And Mrs. Harry O’Konski, Owen, who exchanged vows in the presence of the pastor, the Rev. Charles A. Koch.

During the ceremony, "The Lord’s Prayer" and "I Love You Truly" were sung by Mrs. Delbert Busch, a sister-in-law of the bride.  Organ accompaniment was provided by Mrs. Don Warner.

Given in marriage by her brother, Delbert of West Bend, the bride entered the church in a white floor length gown of net over satin, the bodice of lace being designed with long matching sleeves coming to points at the wrists, and a neckline topped by a net yoke and mandarin collar.

Her fingertip veil of sheer illusion net had a hand rolled edge and was secured to a lace cap of seed pearls.  Her red roses and stephanotis bridal bouquet was tied with white satin ribbon.

Preceding her down the aisle was her maid of honor, Miss Mary Ann O’Konski, the groom’s sister from Chicago, who was attired in a strapless blue net and taffeta frock with matching net stole, the skirt of tiny net ruffles having inserts of taffeta and matching bows.  Her headpiece was a blue crown adorned with rhinestones and her bouquet was fashioned with pink roses and white mums.

Ushering the guests into the church were Lorris Dusso, Greenwood, a cousin of the bride, and Maurice O’Konski, Owen, the latter also serving as his brother’s best man.

Approximately 40 guests were greeted at a reception in the church parlors following the ceremony.

The bride, a 1951 graduate of Greenwood High School, has been employed by the Redville Dairy Inc. at Greenwood.  Her husband, an employee of the Frederick Post Co., Owen, attended Withee and Owen High School.  The newlyweds will reside in Greenwood.
