Dasko (Daszkowski) Andrew Joseph (26 January 1928 - 24 June 2010) With Flag

Andrew Dasko, 82, of Neillsville died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Andrew Joseph Dasko was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Chicago, IL, the son of Andrew and Helen (Krzywacki) Daszkowski.  He attended Andersen Elementary School and Wells High School in Chicago and then served in the Army Air Corp. After his discharge he worked in Chicago at PDQ Venetian Blinds, Schwinn and for 35 years at Sunbeam.

He was united in marriage to Helen Tichy June 28, 1971, in Chicago.  Andrew retired from Sunbeam in 1983, and they moved to Neillsville shortly afterwards.

During his spare time he enjoyed bowling, dancing and going to casinos.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; step-children, Richard (Ginger) Brend of Lombard, IL, Charmaine Reznik of Lyons, IL; six step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald (Adreen) Dasko of Chicago; a step-son-in-law, Herman Rohde of Lyons, IL and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-daughter, Georgiana; and three brothers, Eugene, Harold and George.

Funeral services for Andrew were held Saturday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Father Woodrow H. Pace officiated.  Military Rites were accorded by the Neillsville Veteran’s Council.
