Schmidt, Florence (06 APRIL 1948)

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rueth have returned from a wedding trip to South Dakota and are now making their home on route one. The former Florence Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt of route two, and her bridegroom, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Rueth of Loyal, repeated their marriage vows in a double ring ceremony at St. Anthony’s Catholic church on Apr. 6. The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer celebrated the nuptial high mass.

The bride was gowned in white satin fashioned with a bouffant skirt, bateau neckline and soft tunic which fell into a long train. Her fingertip veil was held in place with two flowers on either side. She carried a bouquet of roses and white lilies.

Her attendants were dressed in white, blue and pink respectively. The maid of honor, Miss Jeanette Perko of Marshfield, a cousin of the groom, carried a bouquet of pink carnations, and the bridesmaids’ bouquets were made of pink and white carnations.

Also included in the wedding party were the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Becker, of Neillsville, the groom’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Rueth of Loyal, and his brother, Herbert Rueth, of Loyal.

Breakfast was served in the bridal party at the home of the groom’s parents. Dinner, supper and a reception were held in the church parlors for 140 guests.

Mrs, Rueth graduated from the Loyal high school last year. The groom attended schools here and is now engaged in farming with his father.

The Loyal Tribune extends to the young couple its wishes for happiness.
