Goebel, Bertha M. (29 Jul 1913)

Tuesday evening, at 7 o’clock at the home of the bride occurred the wedding of Gust Deutsch and Miss Bertha M. Goebel.  The bridal couple were attended by Judge Oscar Schoengarth and Miss Clara Goebel and the marriage was performed by Rev. Reiff.  A fitting celebration of the event was held by the relatives and friends of the contracting couple.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Goebel, who live south of Granton.  She is a young lady of exceptional attainments and is thoroughly conversant with the duties of the position she assumes.  Mr. Deutsch is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Deutsch of this city and has always been known as a young man of excellent morals and high standards of living.  He is industrious and painstaking and his courteous and friendly demeanor has made him a lot of friends here and other places where he may have been located.  At present he has a position as manager of a clothing store at Friendship, where he will take his bride in a few days to take up housekeeping.
