Last Wednesday evening Rev. Risser united in marriage Mr. Asa R. Darling and Miss Blanche Shummell.  The ceremony was performed at the home of Rev. Risser and the bridal couple was attended by Miss Nancy Wood and John Wightman.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Shummell and is a young lady of high attainments and capability.  The groom is the butter maker at the Pine Valley Creamery at Sidney and during his residence here has won a high favor and esteem with all who know him.  A celebration of the event was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wittke in the evening.  The young couple will make their home at Sydney and they carry with them the best wishes of their many friends for their future welfare and happiness.
