For her wedding Miss Bloom chose a fingertip veil secured to a crown trimmed with sequins and pearls.  Her gown, consisting of nylon lace over taffeta, featuring a full ruffled skirt, a fitted V-shaped bodice and long sleeves tapering to points at the wrists.  Her bouquet of red roses, white carnations and white gladioli was tied with a white satin ribbon.  Her jewelry consisted of a pearl necklace, a gift from the groom.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Nancy Rickaby of Withee.  Her formal gown consisted of yellow nylon lace over taffeta designed with a ruffled skirt, matching jacket and headpiece.  Her bouquet consisted of white roses and white and blue carnations.  Her pearl necklace was a gift of the bride.

Flower girls were Linda Bloom and Diane Bloom, nieces of the bride.  Their gowns consisted of white nylon lace over taffeta, featuring full ruffled skirts and sweetheart necklines and matching headpieces.  They each wore sing strands of pearls.  Their bouquets consisted of red roses and white carnations.

The groom was attended by Richard Cox of Abbotsford as best man.

Kenneth Burtard of Owen served as ring bearer.

Serving as ushers were John Rickaby of Withee and Emery Jensen of Abbotsford.

Mrs. Orville Peterson of Stanley, accompanied by Miss Martha Bittner of Rudolph at the piano, sang "I Love You Truly" and "Wedding Prayer."

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bloom, following the ceremony.  Approximately 175 guests were present.  Guests attending the wedding came from eau Claire, Loyal, Abbotsford, Curtiss, Owen, Withee, Stratford, Auburndale, Rudolph, Marshfield, Medford, Wausau, Gilman, Stanley, Warrens, Minneapolis, and big lake, Minn., and South Dakota.
