Wehling, Robert (10 NOV 1883-08 JAN 1948)

Robert Frederick Wehling, 64, died of an acute heart attack at his home in the village of Loyal at 9:15 o’clock Thursday evening, Jan. 8.

He was born ay Mayville on Nov. 10, 1883, and came with his parents to Clark county when but a small boy. They settled on land near Spokeville, and lived there until his marriage. He was married to Miss Dollie Mae Stewert on May 21, 1918, at the Loyal Methodist church by the Rev. Strevey. Following his marriage and for the past 30 years he has been a resident of the village of Loyal. Much of that time he was an employee of the village. For four years he drove a school bus for the school district.

Private funeral services were held Monday afternoon Jan. 12, at the Loyal funeral home, and burial was in the Loyal cemetery. The Rev. Lee Holmes, pastor of the Methodist church officiated. During the service the hymns, "The Old Rugged Cross" and :He Leadeth Me," were sung.

Pallbearers and flower girls were relatives of the deceased. The pallbearers were Alvin Luchterhand, Edward Greeler, William Luchterhand, Reno Herdrich, Raymond Ertl, and Louis Pachal. Serving as flower girls were Mrs. Harold Dahl, Mrs. Louis Pachal, Margaret Herdrich, Margie Luchterhand, Mrs. Raymond Ertl and Betty Greeler.

The beautiful floral offerings and many other expressions of sympathy extended to the bereaved at this time speak of the esteem and respect in which Mr. Wehling was held.

Surviving besides his widow are three brothers, Frank of Pewaukee and Charles and Albert of Loyal, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Luchterhand of Loyal. Another brother, August, and his parents, John and Wilhemina Wehling, preceded him in death.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral services were: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nelson of Milwaukee, Frank Wehling and Frank Junn of Pewaukee, Mrs. Frank O’Toole of Nekoosa, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Jacklin, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Wehling, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Luchterhand and daughter, Margie, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Luchterhand, all of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. John Hutt of Abbotsford, Mrs. Louis Andrew and daughter, Arlene, of Chili, Mrs. Harry Nork and son, Herbert, of Redfield, S. D., and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Court and son, Archie, of Seymore, Charles Haslow of Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Greeler and daughter, Betty, of Neillsville.

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved relative.
