Freida A. Korntved, 85, Marshfield, died on Monday, May 17, 2010, at the Marshfield Care Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 21, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Marshfield. Interment was held at the Hillside Cemetery.
 
Freida Adeline Trickie was born on May 3, 1925, in Plainfield, to Otis and Daisy (nee Adams) Trickie. She married Peter Korntved on Dec. 21, 1945, in Greenwood. They farmed in Greenwood until 1967. They moved to Marshfield and both worked at Weyerhauser until retirement. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was active in the Ladies’ group in her younger days. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling and camping.
 
Survivors include her children, Fern (Milton) Fitzl, Loyal, Carole (Robert) Stangl, Marshfield, James (Terri) Korntved, Beverly Hills, Fla., Janice (Roger) Schaefer, Marshfield, and Leroy (Susan) Korntved, Rhinelander; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
 
Preceding her in death were her loving husband, Peter; her parents; and her brothers, Franklin Trickie, Clifford Trickie, DeWayne Trickie, and Harold Trickie.
