Last Sunday afternoon Abe Vande Berg was shot accidentally and his prospects for recovery are far from promising. Vande Berg and a neighbor, Mr. Olson, were partridge hunting and a bird flew up between them. Olson shot the bird, not noticing that his companion was in a direct line with his aim. As a result Vande Berg received the full charge of shot in the side of his head and face and was terribly wounded. He was taken to the Marshfield hospital but is in a very precarious condition.
