Heaslett, Anna (27 May 1849 - 21 Oct 1912)

Mrs. Anna Heaslett died Monday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. Cornwell.  Mrs. Heaslett was born Anna Johnston in Canada May 27, 1849.  She was united in marriage to Thomas Heaslett on June 3, 1871, and a year later they came to Neillsville where they resided seven years and then went to Humbird to live.  After the death of Mr. Heaslett in June 1886, Mrs. Heaslett returned here.  She made her home at Granton for six years and for the past couple years on account of failing health and took up her residence with her daughter.  She is survived by one son, Wilfred, of Kent, Wash., and one daughter, Mrs. L. Cornwell; also by two brothers, William Johnston of Pine Valley and George Johnston of Missouri, and one sister, Mrs. Grant Baxter of Hillsboro, N.D.

Mrs. Heaslett was a woman of pleasing personality and kindly disposition and she was well known to many friends in this vicinity for her charity and goodness.  The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Cornwell residence.
