Wentzel, Marion #2 (22 OCT 1955)

When they return from their wedding trip to California, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Lang will make their home on the bridegroom’s farm in the town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.).  They were married Saturday afternoon in a 2 o’clock ceremony at the Unity Methodist Church.

The new Mrs. Lang, who before her marriage was marion Wentzel, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wentzel of Curtiss (Clark Co.).  Her husband’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Lang of Unity.

The Rev. Harvey E. Schall officiated at the wedding, at which the bride was attended by Miss Carejean Molle and the bridegroom’s sister, Nina Lang, as maid of honor and bridesmaid respectively, and Mr. Lang was attended by his bride’s brother, Clifford Wentzel of Poynette, best man, and his brother, Roger Lang of River Falls, groomsman.

The bride’s attendants, both from unity, had gowns styled alike, blue for Miss Molle and shrimp for Miss Lang.  Ruffles decorated the back of the floor length skirts, and the bodices were strapless.

They carried white and yellow carnations tied with white satin ribbon.

The scalloped neckline of the bride’s dress was filled in with a nylon net yoke.  Nylon net in combination with lace to match that of the bodice formed her skirt.  A crown of pearls and rhinestones held her fingertip veil.  She carried red roses and white gladioli.

Friends of the couple, among them several from out of town, were greeted after the ceremony at the reception at the Colby City Hall.  Cities and towns represented were Unity, Edgar, Stratford, Greenwood, Marshfield, Wausau, Rhinelander, Owen, River Falls, Withee, Oshkosh, Riplinger, Thorp, Green Bay, New Holstein, Madison, Spencer and Bliss, Texas.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Loyal High School, and his bride attended Colby High School.
