Rothmeier, Evelynn A. (10 SEP 1955)

Honeymooning for a week in Michigan are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Morris E. Nelson, who were married Saturday morning at 9 o’clock in Sacred Heart Church, Stetsonville, with the pastor, the Rev. J. A. Seeboth, officiating.

The bride, the former Evelynn A. Rothmeier, Stetsonville, and her husband, a resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), is the son of Arnold Nelson, South Milwaukee.

Carrying a bouquet of red roses, white carnations and white mums, the bride entered the church in a gown designed with a fitted bodice of Chantilly lace over traditional bridal satin, and featuring a scalloped Queen Anne collar, long sleeves coming to points over the hand, and a fully gathered skirt of lace, highlighted with an entire back of ruffled nylon tulle.

The fingertip veil of nylon tulle had a hand rolled edge and was secured to an angelic half hat of pleated tulle and delicate lace studded with pearls and sequins.

The maid of honor for sister was Miss Loretta Rothmeier, Stetsonville, with Misses Lucille and Dorothy Maxam, Dorchester, serving as bridesmaids for their friend.

The aides’ frocks were strapless, the fitted bodices of lace over taffeta being topped with short sleeved jackets of matching lace.  The full length skirts were tiered nylon net over taffeta.  Their half hats were net leaves sprinkled with tiny rhinestones and their flowers were colored mums and white gladioli fastened on fans.  The maid of honor appeared in yellow and the attendants in green and lavender, respectively.

Bernard Rothmeier came from Milwaukee to perform the duties of best man for his brother-in-law.  Another brother of the bride, Alfred Rothmeier, and Jack Wild, both of Stetsonville, were the groomsmen.

A dinner for the immediate family was served at the bride’s home with a reception and supper for 125 guests at the Skylite Club at Athens.  In the evening a dance was held at Memorial Hall, Dorchester.

The bride, a graduate of Medford High School, is a secretary for the Frederick Post Co., and her husband is a cheese helper for the Owen Dairy.  The young couple will make their home in Owen.

Coming for the wedding festivities were guests from Milwaukee, La Crosse, Abbotsford, Medford, Owen, Chilton, South Milwaukee, Sullivan, Ind., Becker, Minn., and Withee.
