Schultz, Joseph (24 NOV 1897-15 APRIL 1947)

 

Joseph Schultz, 49, born a resident of the town of Beaver, died at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. He was injured by a horse on his farm three years ago and has been in ill health since that time.

 

He was born on Nov. 24e, 1897, in the town of Beaver, where he resided on a farm most of his life, except for 12 years spent in Milwaukee, employed by the Seaman Body Corp.

 

He was married to Lorinda Scheer at Milwaukee on June 20, 1923.

 

Funeral services were held at the home at 1 p.m., Aug. 19, and at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in the town of Green Grove. The Rev. M. C. Goetsch officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery.

 

The congregation  sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," one of his favorites, and Lucille Augustine and Mrs. Ted Miller sang "Under His Wings" and "Till We Meet

Again."

 

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Caroline) Stasiopaulus and Lois; two sons, Donald and Howard, four brothers, Roy of Bemidji, Minn., Alfred of route one, Loyal, Oscar of Packwaukee and Melvin of Idaho City, Ida.; seven sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Lauretta) Koch, Mrs. Henry (Ruby) Stikl, Mrs. Walter (Elsie) Kroenig and Mrs. Clarence (Adeline) Halbur, all of Milwaukee. Mrs. William (Esther) Doman of Riplinger, Mrs. Philip (Alva) Glazer pof Stevens Point and Mrs. Julian (May) Hunt of Idaho City; two grandchildren, Gregory and Christine Stasionpaulas of Milwaukee; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Schultz, of Loyal, and his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Scheer, of Loyal.

 

Paul bearers were Joe Pachal. Emil Shefchil. George Foelsch, Ed Knecht, Hugo Schuette and Martin Roidt.

 

Flower girls were his nieces: Marilyn and Marlene Henn, Pearl Wittlinger, Geraldine and Patricia Koch, Joanne Scheer, Romona Bruhn, Lyla Hurke and Myrtle Colby.

 

Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Stasinopaulas, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Henn, Milton, Marilyn and Marlene Henn, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Koch, Patricia and Geraldine Koch, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leamancyzk and son, Jackie, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Halbur, Mrs. Walter Kroenig, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burke, Miss Pearl Wittlinger, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lang, Mrs. William Henn and Mrs. Merlin Scheer, all of Milwaukee.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Philip Glazer and son, Kenneth, of Stevens Point; Oscar Schultz of Packwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Platt, Mrs. Gust Schlebe, Melvin Schiebe, Erwin Schiebe, Mrs. Alma Tollefson, Mrs. Martha Scheer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lebock, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. John Bohl and Mrs. Mary Riehl of Appleton.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Witt of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Witt and daughter, Margaret of Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Witt of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Drisco of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. George Rueden of Dorchester, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and Mrs. William Foreman of Granton.

 

Ray Schultz, who spent three days with his brother before his death was unable to return for the funeral.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved relative.
