Miss Anna Marie Weyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Weyer of Loyal, became the bride of Sharol E. Foat, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Foat of Waukesha, at a nuptial mass in St. Anthony’s Catholic church here at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer was celebrant.

 

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Songs were sung by St. Anthony’s children’s choir. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weyer and Rosemarie Weyer of Loyal and Charles Esser of Waukesha.

 

The bride wore an ivory satin dress, with a long train, long tapering sleeves, a brand of pearls across the head and on each ear a cluster of orange blossoms. Her veil was borrowed from the matron of honor and was fingertip length. She carried a bouquet of white lilies, surrounded with salmon colored roses and white swansonia. A strand of pearls was a gift of the groom.

 

Her sister-in-law served as matron of honor, wearing pink ninon over satin, with long full sleeves, as did her sister, who was bridesmaid. Both carried dark pink and white carnations, with dark pink showers.

 

A wedding breakfast was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Elsinger Sr. Mrs. Elsinger is her godmother. Dinner was served at the Weyer home to 65 guests. Supper was also served at the bride’s home, with 95 persons present. The home was decorated with pink and white streamers and white bells. A three tier wedding cake, topped by a miniature bride and groom set, was the centerpiece. A reception was held in the afternoon, and in the evening a wedding dance was given at the Country Ballroom, near Marshfield.

 

Those from away who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Emery Foat and daughter, Arlene, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kowalski, Bernice, Beverly and Louis Kowalski, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Phelps, Gene and Shirley Phelps, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Esser, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Foat and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Foat, Gordon Foat, Charles Esser, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Karrels, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Savatski, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Kowatski, Mary Savatski, Bill Mack, Mr. and Mrs. William Spellman, and Mr. and Mrs. Lazarus Spellman, all of Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Foat of Oconomoc; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Elsinger of Guttenberg, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. William Renz, Ervin Renz and Miss Rita Miller of Watertown; Otto Krebs and daughters, Dorothy and Esther, and Gilbert Wehner of Hartford; Misses Margaret Schmitz and Margaret Walter of Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Tasse of Marshfield.

 

The groom, who served for 2 ½ years with the army in Germany, is now employed as a painter with the Dale Chevrolet Co. in Waukesha. His bride has been employed for the past three years in Milwaukee.

 

The newlyweds will be at home to friends at 228 Frane avenue, Waukesha, after May 26.
