The Auxiliary to Our Boys in Service met in the Red Cross room at the armory, Tuesday evening.   
 

A report of the boys having birthdays in January was read. Cards are sent each month, so if your boy is having a birthday in February and isn’t listed on the files of the Auxiliary, you are asked to call either Mrs. Louis Kauffman or Mrs. Calvin Hills.   
 

Those overseas to whom cards were sent included: Robert Bates, Victor Boss, Richard Brown, William Dolan, Robert Griffiths, Lorris Johnson, Richard Jolivette, Raymond Kadonsky, Malcolm Larson and Wendalin Schommer.   
 

Cards for January birthdays of those in this country went of Lewis Goldamer, George Garbrecht, Norman Kalepp, Gilbert Kattre and John Wing.   
 

Letters coming in, replies of thanks and appreciation for boxes receive at Christmas were also read.  
 

From Germany came letters from Pvt. Warren Phaneuf, stating the package arrived in good condition; Pfc, Vernon Gosse, who was in a part of Germany where there was no snow at the time, and Sgt. Gilbert Fink.  
 

From France T/Sgt. Len Colby says "The cheese was very lovely, but you doubt my word, ask anybody in Hq. Btry. of the 173rd F.A. Group." 
 

Pvt. Myron Greaser was seeing plenty of snow on January 21, but prefers the home state to France. Cpl. Ralph Bargenquat received both of his packages. Cpl. Gordon Heggesta is living in a house in a small town in France, which is also occupied ay a family with a small boy and girl.    
 

Sgt. Ernest Haack wrote his letter on January 23, when the weather was a "little nasty."
