Markham, Minnie (4 August 1865 - 20 March 1958) 
 

Mrs. Minnie Markham, 92, of Neillsville, died March 20 in Neillsville.  She had been a hospital patient since November 11, when she suffered a fractured hip in a fall in her home.  
 

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.  The Rev. Albert Guthmiller, pastor, officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Markham was born August 4, 1865, at Watertown, the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Freitag) Funk.  She was married to George Markham at Watertown. They operated a store in Deerfield for a time, and came to Clark County 66 years ago, locating on a farm south of Neillsville. 
 

They farmed for 30 years before retiring and moving to Neillsville.  Mrs. Markham had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Harriet Thompson, for the last 25 years. 
 

She is survived by her daughter; Wesley Markham, Los Angeles, Calif.; Ted Markham, New Bedford, Mass.; and Lee Markham, Hartford, Mich.  Three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. 
 

Pallbearers were: Elmer and Herbert Filitz, George Shaw, Elmer Buddenhagen, Leo R. Korth, and Herman Dahnert.. 
 

Two hymns, "The Lord’s prayer" and "Beyond the Sunset," were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jack Grether. 
 

Out of town people here for the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Lee Markham, Harford, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Landgraf, Jackson, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Plaenert, Madison; and Dr. and Mrs. Fred Henkel, Richland Center.
