McIntyre, Gusta Offord (21 OCT 1875 - 10 MAY 1955)

 

Mrs. Gusta Offord McIntyre, a long time resident of Clark County (Wis.), and for several years a resident of Owen, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 1955, after a lingering illness.  She had been making her home at the Havenet Nursing Home of Owen since that home opened last year.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at one o’clock Friday afternoon, May 13.  Rev. H. D. Wagner will officiate at the service and burial will be made at the cemetery in Thorp.

 

She was born Gusta Fredericho Heiking on Oct. 21, 1875, in the country of Germany and came to this country with her parents when she was only a girl, settling in Dane County, Wis..  In 1894 she was married to George Offord at Marshall, Wis.  Mr. Offord passed away in June 1933, and on Aug. 24, 1954, Mrs. Offord was united in marriage to Dr. Ralph McIntyre, who passed away shortly after the first of the year.

 

Surviving are three children, Mr. Jesse Offord of Withee; Mrs. Harry Richmond of Chippewa Falls and Mrs. Pearl Schley of Curtiss; two brothers, Fred Heiking of Loyal and Bill Heiking of Lake Mills, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Syd Cox, Greenwood; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
