Page, Milton (22 October 1891 - 15 October 1957) 
 

Milton Page, 65, of Rt. 2, Neillsville died October 15, at his home following a sudden heart attack. 
 

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral Home. The Rev. Albert Guthmiller, pastor of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mr. Page was born October 22, 1891, in the Town of Grant, the son of the late Warren and Nellie (Dows) Page. He received his early education in the Town of Grant schools and later attended the Granton School.  After finishing school he worked with his father in a hardware store in Granton. 
 

On July 24, 1917, he entered the army, serving with Company "A" of the 128th Infantry, 32nd Division.  He was a company cook and served overseas during World War I.  He received his discharge on May 19, 1919.  Following the death of his first wife, the former Josephine Marx of Neillsville, he continued to make his home near Neillsville. 
 

On September 13, 1920, he was married to Vivian Ure of Neillsville. They resided on a farm in the Town of Pine Valley on Highway 73-95.  In 1934 he became a representative for the Federal Land Bank and served in that capacity until World War II, when he went to Baraboo, where he was employed during the war.  For the last few years he had been employed in Merrillan.  About six months ago he bought a small place in the Town of Levis and spent his spare time remodeling the house. 
 

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry (LaVerne) Wedekind of Neillsville.  Other survivors include two grandchildren, James and Susan Wedekind; a sister, Mrs. Lu Struble of Neillsville; and a brother, Irl Page of Minneapolis. 
 

Pallbearers were: Elmer Buddenhagen, Wendell Crothers, Frank Dobes, G. H. Lowe, Ernest Vine and Leslie Yorkston.  
 

Mrs. Robert Peters, vocalist, accompanied by Mrs. Jess Scott, sang "Still, Still with Thee" and "Abide with Me." 
 

People from out of town attending the rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Irl Page, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Craig Montag, Augusta; Wendell Crothers, Jack Crothers, Granton; Kenneth Keach, Viola; Mr. and Mrs. Aca Irish and Gene Irish, Exland; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Reinart, Mrs. Robert Shramek, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Snow, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Olson, and Mrs. Roy Loomis, Merrillan; and Mrs. Mack Heald, Wisconsin Rapids.
