Parks, Beverly (12 NOV 1955)

Miss Beverly Parks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Parks, and Mr. Louis Badzinski Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Badzinski Sr., all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were joined in holy wedlock at a nuptial Mass said by Father A. M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Church here on Saturday, Nov. 12^th, 1955.  The double ring ceremony was performed at 9:00 o’clock before an altar trimmed with gold and bronze flowers.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a ballerina length gown of white chiffon velvet with princess lines and three-quarter length dolman sleeves.  Her elbow length silk illusion veil was held in place by a velvet headpiece trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white mums and stephanotis.

Attending the couple were Eugene Badzinski of River Falls, brother of the groom, as best man, and Gretchen Parks, sister of the bride, maid of honor.  Dolores Parks, the bride’s sister, and Kathleen Badzinski, the groom’s sister, were bridesmaids, and little Peggy Parks of Milwaukee, niece of the bride, was flower girl, carrying a basket of white mums.

Edward Harycki of Arlington, Va., attended the groom, and Ronald and Claybourne Ebben served as ushers.

The groom and his attendants wore black trousers and charcoal jackets.

The maid of honor was dressed in a ballerina length gown of golden brown chiffon velvet, with princess lines, V-neck and three-quarter length sleeves.  The matching headpiece was trimmed with pearls.  The bridesmaids were attired in dresses of moss green styled similar to that of the maid of honor.  All carried bouquets of gold and bronze mums.

The bride’s mother was dressed in blue with black accessories for the occasion and the groom’s mother wore brown with tan accessories.  Their corsages were of gold and bronze mums.  The groom’s grandmother was attired in a charcoal dress and wore a white corsage.

The wedding breakfast was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents and dinner was served to members of the immediate family at St. Bernard’s Hall at noon, where the reception was held during the afternoon.

For her going away attire the bride wore a light blue knit suit with dark blue accessories.

Both bride and groom are graduates of Thorp High School.  The bride has been employed as cashier at the Farmers Store in Thorp and the groom is a student at Dunwoody Institute at Minneapolis.
