Griffith, Leonard  (09 SEPT 1876-17(?)APR 1947)

 

Leonard Griffith, 70, a retired town of Sherman farmer, died at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient for about a month.

 

Mr. Griffith, who was unmarried, was born in the town of Sherman on Sept. 9, 1876, the son of Leonard and Amelia Griffith.

 

Burial services were conducted at the Swarthout funeral home in Spencer at 2 o’clock last Friday afternoon, the Rev. Lee H. Holmes, Loyal Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Loyal cemetery.

 

Surviving are two brothers, James Griffith of Spencer and Roy Griffith of Brantwood, Cal., and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Bachhuber of Mayville and Mrs. Amelia Churchill of West Los Angeles, Cal.

 

Among those from away who attended the funeral were: Roy Griffith of Brantwood, Cal., and Mrs. Alice Bachhuber and Victor Meyer of Mayville.

 

The Tribune extends to the survivors its sympathy in their loss.
