Cornest, Kate (? - 16 May 1957) 
 

Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Louie (Kate) Cornest of 1808 Pitcher Street, who died May 16, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Neinas at Webster.  The Rev. Fr. Peter J. Leketas officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Cornest was born at Mt. Pleasant, Mich., the daughter of the late Timothy and Mary (McMahon) Coughlin. When a small child, her parents moved to Clark County locating on a farm north of Neillsville.  After her marriage to Louie Cornest at Neillsville they located in the city, which had been her home until the past year, when she made her home with her daughters.  
 

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and R. N. A. Golden Link Camp No. 78. 
 

Mrs. Cornest is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Vera) Krejci of la Crosse and Mrs. Oscar (Eva) Neinas of Webster; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Nora) Lindsley of Neillsville, Mrs. Ella Padares of Minneapolis and Mrs. Lawrence (Meta) Schunk of Marshfield; also six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive. 
 

The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers were: Ernest C. Karnitz, Henry Wasserburger, John Krejci, Harold Prock, William Neville, Sr., and William Hughes. 
 

Out of town relatives attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Krejci, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Paulus and family, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Neinas, Wanda and Jim, and Orville Neinas, Webster; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Neinas and daughter, Mrs. Ella Padares and Mrs. Natalie Kolias, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schunk, Marshfield; Clarence Neinas and Mrs. Vernon Lindow, Chili.
