Schmidt, Hulda Margaret (26 March 1886 - 24 December 1956) 
 

A requiem high mass will be read Friday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Frank Schmidt, 70,  who died Monday evening as the result of a heart ailment.  The Rev. Fr. Peter J. Leketas, pastor, will officiate.  Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.  The body is reposing at the Bergemann Funeral Home.  The Christian Mothers Society, of which she was a member, will recite a rosary at 3 o’clock this (Thursday) afternoon, and a general rosary service will be said tonight at 9 o’clock. 
 

Helena Margaret Pulvermacher, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pulvermacher, was born March 26, 1886, at Marxville.  She received her education in the Pine Hollow school at Cashton.  On October 25, 1904, she was married to Frank Schmidt at St. Mary’s Ridge. After their marriage they operated a farm near Norwalk, and in 1924, came to Clark County, settling on a farm in the Town of Levis, south of Neillsville.  
 

Following the death of her husband she has made her home at 1401 Bruley Street, Neillsville. 
 

She is survived by the following children: Valerian Schmidt, and Mrs. John (Eulalia) Jones, of Waukesha; Gerald Schmidt, Neillsville; Norbert Schmidt, Madison; Romuald Schmidt, Neillsville; Mrs. Reynold (Helen) Syth, Greenwood; Urban Schmidt, Neillsville; Basil Schmidt, East Troy; Mrs. Glenn (Coletta) Short, Neillsville; Gallus Schmidt, El Paso, Tex.; and Mrs. James (Joan) Butterfield, Waukesha.  Thirty six grandchildren also survive, and the following brothers and sisters: Alois Pulvermacher, Madison; Hubert Pulvermacher, Pittsville; Ms. Elizabeth Behrent, and Mrs. Veronica Spahn, Madison; Mrs. Cristina Fritsch, Sparta, and Mrs. Mary Klinkner, Cashton.
