Syth, Amelia Johanna (12 May 1896 - 1956) 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur Syth, 60, life long resident of this area, were held Friday afternoon.  Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Syth, nee Amelia Johanna Toburen, was born May 12, 1896, in the Town of Mead, the daughter of the late William and Marie (Roever) Toburen. She was married to Arthur Syth at Wausau April 16, 1919. They settled on the present farm 4 ½ miles south of Greenwood.  She was a member of Grace church and was vice-president of its Woman’s Society of Christian Service. 
 

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Alberta) Cunningham of Wausau, and two grandchildren. 
 

Among those at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. John Luchterhand of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Elder Luchterhand of Granton; Mrs. Gustave Luchterhand of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Potts, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Tompkins, Mr. and Mrs. Free Christie, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stabnow, Mrs. Janie Paulus and Mrs. Shirley Wyer of Neillsville; Mrs. Joe Lunka of Willard; Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Lewandowski and Mr. and Mrs. Graham Poirer of Owen.
