Reinke, Lee B. #2 (6 DEC 1931 - 31 JUL 1955)

 

Last rites were held at the Congregational Church at Owen at 2:00 o’clock Thursday, Aug. 4th, for Lee Bernard Reinke, 23, of Owen, who passed away at the Stanley Hospital at 4:30 p.m., July 31st, 1955.  Rev. Robert Olson of Thorp officiated.  At the service Mrs. Don Marshall sang "My Home Sweet Home" and "Asleep in Jesus," accompanied by organist Miss Nancy Lindquist.

 

He had been ill and had undergone surgery during the past year.

 

Lee was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reinke of the Town of Reseburg.  He attended the local public school and was a graduate of the Thorp High School.  He was born in Gillett, Oconto Co., Wis., on Dec. 6, 1931.

 

On Sept. 16, 1950, eh was united in marriage at Thorp to Miss Donna Mae Dempsey of Owen, and for the past two years has been employed by the Henry Mauel Diary Plant at Owen.

 

Besides his wife and parents he leaves to mourn his untimely demise, two sons, Gary and Thomas, and one daughter, Vickie Leigh, at home; one brother, Walter Reinke of Medford, Wis.; three sisters, Carol, Mrs. Pierce Owens of Withee, and Nancy and Ruth Reinke of Thorp.

 

Interment took place at Riverside Cemetery near Black River.  Pallbearers were Robert Olson, Dorval Karlen, Ray Czech, Jerome Hansen, Ray Ammentorp and Hank Mauel.  Six members of the Owen Fire Department, to which the deceased belonged, acted as honorary pallbearers and their wives were in charge of the flowers.
