Taylor, James C. (1888? - 11 JUL 1955)

 

James c. Taylor, 67, San Diego, Calif., formerly of Gilman, died Monday, July 11th, 1955.

 

Mr. Taylor had lived in California for the past 12 years.  Previously he built and operated a drug store at Gilman and served as postmaster there for many years.

 

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

 

Funeral services were held at 7:30 o’clock Thursday evening at the Lutheran Church in Pacific Beach, Calif., and then the remains arrived at Gilman Sunday evening and laid in state at the Gilman Funeral Home from Monday morning until the time of the graveside services on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.  Rev. Miller of the Presbyterian Church, Gilman, officiated.  Interment was in the Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman.

 

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Ann, of San Diego; one son and three daughters, Burt of Stanley; Muriel of San Diego; Mrs. Herbert (Harriet) Roal, Medford, Wis., and Mrs. Jay (May) West of Sheldon, and eight grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
