Kozial, Jeanette (4 JUN 1955)

 

Miss Jeanette Kozial, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kozial of Sheldon, and Gerald Van Ert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Van ert of Stanley, were united in marriage Saturday, June 4th, 1955, at 1 o’clock at the Holy Trinity Church at Conrath.  Father Edward Bujalski officiated at the double ring ceremony.  The altar was beautifully decorated with colonial bouquets.

 

Mrs. Tony Conrad was organist for the wedding, and Sylvia Mamayek and Betty Ann Nieman of Thorp sang.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of nylon net and French lace tiers over satin which was floor length styled with a lace bodice and long sleeves which tapered to points.  Her veil was held with a small hat of white Chantilly lace with pearl edging.  She wore a pearl necklace and earrings and carried a bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis.

 

Attending the bride were Victoria Kozial, sister of the bride, as maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Donna Van Ert, sister of the groom and Theresa Tatur, friend of the bride.  Mary Lou Kozial, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

 

The attendants wore gowns of blue crystalette respectively styled with a low neckline, a long torso and matching picture hats.  Their bouquets were of pink carnations and they wore pearl necklaces and earrings, gifts of the bride.

 

The flower girl wore a white organdy gown with a matching bonnet.  She carried a colonial basket of mixed flowers.

 

The groom’s attendants were Allen Van Ert, cousin of the groom, Tony Phillipak, friend of the groom, Michael Wojtyna, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

 

A wedding dinner was served to 150 guests at the Sheldon Legion clubhouse with a reception in the afternoon at which a three-tier wedding cake was served.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Tony High School and is employed at the Thorp Finance Corp.  The groom is a graduate of Stanley High School and is employed as a contractor by his father.  After a two week wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Canada, the couple will reside in Stanley.

 

Out of town guests were from Milwaukee, Minnesota, Chicago, Eau Claire and Marshfield.
