Klick, Robert Donald (29 October 1931 - 21 November 2009)  
 

Robert D. Klick, age 78, of Thorp, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, in Stanley.  
 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp.  Burial will follow in Old St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. 
 

Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert D, Klick, age 78, of Thorp, passed away at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley on Saturday, November 21, 2009.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp. Fr. Keith Apfelbeck officiated and burial followed in Old St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery. 
 

Pallbearers were: Mike Teclaw, Roger Teclaw, Bob Teclaw, Denny Klick, Brian Sondgeroth and Nick Dahl.  Visitation was held at the church on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. 
 

Robert Donald Klick was born on October 29, 1931, in Thorp, WI the son of John and Pearl (Kmieciak) Klick.  He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Pioneer School and graduated from Thorp High School in 1949.  After graduation, Bob took over his family farm and also installed bulk tanks.  He loved old-time music and formed his own band, The Polka Masters.  Bob played accordion, drums, trumpet and banjo for his own band and for many other bands in the area.  He resided on the farm until the time of his death.  
 

Bob was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church and the Polish National Alliance, and was a former member of the Thorp Sportsman’s Club and the Knights of Columbus Queen of Peace Council #4634. 
 

He will be dearly missed by one sister, Valeria (Raymond) Teclaw of Thorp; one sister-in-law, Leona Klick of Thorp; one brother-in-law, Wayne Sondgeroth of Thorp; his nephew and caregiver, Michael Teclaw of Thorp; one aunt, Wanda Gulczynski of Minneapolis, MN; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Frank, Ervin and John Klick; and one sister, Mary Sondgeroth.
