Phillips, Patricia (Marriage - 6 November 1954)

Miss Patricia Phillips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Phillips of Neillsville, and Florian Thiel, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Florian Thiel, Sr., of Pray, were married Saturday, November 6, 1954, at City Point.

The double ring ceremony was celebrated in Marty’s Chapel at City Point by the Rev. George Stasach.  Immediately after the ceremony a dinner for immediate members of their families was served, followed by a reception in the chapel parlors for approximately 175 guests.

The bride chose a waltz-length nylon tulle gown with rhinestones detailing the bodice and also the tiers of the skirt.  A rhinestone-studded crown held her veil of imported lace. She carried a white-lace prayer book, and a bouquet of red roses and white pompons during the afternoon and evening.

Her bridesmaids, Darlene Dickman and Patricia Steponich, and her matron of honor, Mrs. Glen Phillips, were dressed in French blue waltz-length gowns of nylon net.  Their bouquets were pink and white carnations.

The groom was attended by Glen Phillips as best man.  The other two attendants were Victor Thiel and Roger Phillips. Frank Smagacz and Wayne Phillips ushered.

The bride is a graduate with the class of 1954 of the Neillsville High School and the groom attended the Pittsville high school.   He is now employed by the Consolidated Water Power and Paper Co. at Wisconsin Rapids, where they will reside after returning from a wedding trip to the western states.
