Altenburg, Emma (2 February 1873 - 25 July 1953)  
 

Miss Emma Altenburg, 80, died July 25, at the Kenneth Dix home, Wisconsin Rapids, after being ill the last three months. 
 

Funeral services were held July 29, from the Baker Chapel with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Kingdon officiating.  Burial was in the Lynn Cemetery at Lynn. 
 

Miss Altenburg was born Feb. 2, 1873, at Hazel Green and came to Clark County in 1901.  She lived here until 1948, when she went to Wisconsin Rapids to make her home with a niece, Mrs. Kenneth Dix.  In 1951 she returned to Hazel Green to keep house for her brother.  She remained there until four weeks ago when she returned to Wisconsin Rapids to live with Mrs. Dix.  
 

She was a member of the Congregational Church. 
 

Surviving her are one brother, Albert, Hazel Green, and one sister, Mrs. Tremmling of Marshfield; also several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Emer Robinson of Neillsville is one of her nieces.
