Smith, Clara Moody (Oct 26, 1910)

On Wednesday morning at eight o’clock, October 26, 1910, a very pretty wedding took place in the presence of only a few intimate friends at the Commercial Hotel, where Mrs. Smith has made her home for the past two years, with her sister-in-law, Mrs. L. Moody.

Here Rev. Abraham Bell, a former pastor, united in holy bonds of matrimony, Clara Moody Smith and Chas. Bryant Withee.  To the strains of a wedding march played by Miss Agnes Johnson the wedding party led by Miss Alice Patrie, as flower girl, entered the parlor so prettily decorated for the occasion, the bride gowned in fawn colored silk, charming in its simplicity, added beauty to the impressiveness of the ceremony.  The floral decorations were smilax, roses, carnations and chrysanthemums, which were confined to only the parlor and dining room.

The bride needs no introduction.  She is a very popular lady, having lived most of her life in Clark County and is well and favorably known, both in social and business circles, having been assistant cashier in the State Bank of Withee for the past four and a half years.

As for the groom we know but little, only that he was formerly a Clark County boy, they both having gone to school together in Neillsville.  He now holds a responsible position with the Washington Column Co. of Tacoma, Wash., at which place they will make their future home. - Withee Sentinel
