Giese, Lorinda Elaine (Marriage - 10 Aug. 1957) 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert V. Erickson will make their home in Milwaukee, on their return from a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin and Canada. Their marriage took place Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Peace Lutheran church, town of Frankfort, with the Rev. Henry Krikau officiating, assisted by the bride’s uncle, the Rev. Henry Giese. 
 

The bride, Miss Lorinda Elaine Giese, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Giese, of Edgar, and is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school. The groom is the son of Mrs. Ruby Price and Earl Erickson of Chicago and was graduated from the Withee high school. 
 

For her wedding, the bride chose a long sleeved, floor length gown of Chantilly lace over satin with a bouffant skirt of alternating layers of lace ruffles and tulle, extending to a train in back. Iridescent sequins trimmed the Sabrina neckline of the bodice and were combined with seed pearls to form a crown holding the finger tip veil of silk illusion. Her cascade bouquet was an arrangement of ivy, intertwined among shaded pink garnet roses and white stephanotis. 
 

Mrs. William Giese, Edgar, was the matron of honor, with Mrs. Leonard Buchanan, Withee and Miss Sandra Giese, sisters of the bride, as bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns of blue net over taffeta and lace boleros. Tiny pink garnet roses and white pompons were used in their cascade bouquets. The attendants’ hats were of horse hair braid, trimmed with seed pearls in colors to match their gowns.  
 

Miss Debra Adams, niece of the bride, from Chicago, was flower girl, carrying a colonial bouquet of white pompons and pink garnet roses. 
 

The bride’s brother, William Giese, was best man. The ushers were Leonard Buchanan, Withee, and Meldon Giese, another brother of the bride. 
 

The mother of the bride wore a blue-gray dress with white accessories. The groom’s mother appeared in a light blue dress. Both wore corsages of red sweetheart roses and white feathered carnations. 
 

A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents, with a dinner at the church dining hall. 
 

The groom is employed by the Northwestern Railway at Waukegan, Ill., and the bride was formerly employed by Kraft Foods at Milan.
