Olson, Ida (11 January 1887 - 23 July 1952) 
 

Mrs. Herman Olson, 65, of 204 11th Street, died at her home on Wednesday, July 23, following an illness of two years duration.  
 

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday from the Georgas Funeral Home and from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. M. S. Egge of Greenwood officiated.  Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Olson, nee Ida Anderson was born January 11, 1887, to Mr. and Mrs. Alex Anderson at Chicago, Ill.  She received her education in Chicago and was employed by the Florsheim Shoe Company.  On June 2, 1906, she was married to Herman Olson in Chicago and they resided there until 1912, when they moved to a farm three miles west of Greenwood.  In 1927 Mr. Olson was elected sheriff and continued to hold that office until 1946.  In 1939 they moved to Neillsville, where they have since resided. Mrs. Olson was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America No. 78. 
 

She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Roderick (Arline) Lewis, New York City; Herbert Olson of New London; Mrs. Thomas (Ruth) Sugg of Chicago; Roy Olson Neillsville; Mrs. Edward (Lois) Guest, Philadelphia, Pa.; five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Ray (Carrie) Herring, of Chicago.  One daughter, Dorothy, died in infancy. 
 

The Royal Neighbors of America attended the funeral in a body at the home. 
 

Pallbearers were: William C. Bartelt, Emil Kolstad, Henry Johnson, Palmer Vinger, George Vollrath, and Edwin Johnson. 
 

Mrs. Louis Behrens was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Don Warner.  Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Palmer Vinger, Mrs. E. S. Ellingson, Mrs. O. J. Amundson, Mrs. Thomas Erickson, Mrs. William Kavanaugh and Mrs. Richard Thompson. 
 

Persons from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Guest and daughter of Philadelphia; Mr. and Mrs. Roderick Lewis of New York City; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Olson and daughter, New London; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sugg, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Herring, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Olson of Chicago.
