Zink, Sandra Agnes (Marriage - 25 June 1956)

The Rev. Raymond Schultz witnessed the marriage Monday morning at 9:00 in St. Bernard’s Catholic church of Miss Sandra Agnes Zink, Abbotsford, and Baldwin William Carstensen, Milwaukee. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herman O. Zink, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carstensen, Little Black.

Miss Judy Zink, Abbotsford, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Brides maid was Miss Marilyn Peissig, Dorchester, cousin of the groom. Leo Beilfuss, Milwaukee, acted as best man and Harold Carstensen, a brother of the groom, was groomsman.

The bride’s dress was made of net, with several rows of lace ruffles. The gauntlets and jacket were made of matching lace. A white scalloped cap, with colored sequins and rhinestones, held her finger tip veil. She wore her grand mother’s cross. She carried a prayer book with an arrangement of pink sweetheart roses and streamers of satin.

Her attendants wore ballerina length dresses with jackets with mandarin collars, and small hats. The maid of honor was dressed in blue, the bridesmaid in yellow. They carried baskets holding blue and yellow carnations.

At a breakfast at the home of the bride’s parents, following the ceremony, blue candles in silver holders and yellow flowers carried out the color scheme of the wedding. Dinner was served at the Coral room at Hotel Colby, and a reception was held in the afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents. One hundred and forty guests attended.

The young couple will live in Milwaukee.

Guests attending the wedding came from Marshfield, Schofield, Junction City, Marion, Little Black, Medford, Dorchester, Stetsonville, Colby, and Elkhorn.
