Fiebig, Herman H. (2 Feb. 1870 - 6 Dec. 1955)  
 

Herman H. Fiebig, 85, died at a Sheboygan hospital, Tuesday afternoon, following a long illness. The body will be brought here Friday noon and will lie in state at the Zink Funeral Home until Saturday noon when it will be taken to the Presbyterian church.  
 

Funeral services will be conducted at the church at 2:00 o’clock with the Rev. Richard Harrison officiating. Masonic rites will also be held as Mr. Fiebig was a member of the Abbotsford lodge. Burial will be made in the Colby cemetery.  
 

Herman Fiebig was born Feb. 2, 1870 at Plymouth. He was married to Eva Laura Mellen, May 18, 1892 at Plymouth. They made their home there until 1900 when they moved to a farm two miles east of Abbotsford. In 1921 they moved to Abbotsford.  
 

After Mrs. Fiebig’s death in 1949, he lived here about two years and then, due to ill health, he went to Sheboygan and made his home with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Fiebig.  
 

Both Mr. and Mrs. Fiebig were active workers in the Presbyterian church at Riverside and later at Abbotsford. Mr. Fiebig served the church here as elder and was also president of the Abbotsford Bank.  
 

He is survived by five children: Alfred and Mrs. Armond (Clara) Stephen, of Milwaukee; Edgar, Sheboygan; Roger, La Crosse; and Gilbert, Green Bay. His wife and two children preceded him in death.  
 

There are nine grand children and three great grand children also surviving.

Services for Herman H. Fiebig, 85, former resident of Abbotsford, who died at Sheboygan, Dec. 13, were held at Sheboygan Thursday afternoon. Relatives and friends from there and Milwaukee attended the rites.  
 

The body was brought to the Zink Funeral Home here, Friday morning and services were conducted at the Presbyterian church at Abbotsford Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock with the Rev. Richard Harrison officiating.  
 

Masonic rites were also conducted and pallbearers for the internment, made in the Colby cemetery, were all members of the Abbotsford lodge, They were W. O. Colby, Kenneth Ingersoll, Robert Hopkins, Vern Hemphill, Joe Konecny, and Ed Leichtnam.  
 

Members of the family who were at the Abbotsford rites included Alfred Fiebig and Mr. and Mrs. Armond (Clara) Stephanson, Milwaukee; Edgar, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Fiebig and two daughters, La Crosse; and Gilbert, Green Bay. 
 

Besides his five children, Mr. Fiebig is survived by 10 grand children and four great grand children.
