Troy R. Casperson, 47, Loyal, died on Sunday August 23, 2009, at his home. A private service was held on Friday, Sept. Burial took place in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery.

Troy Robert Casperson was born on Aug. 22, 1962, in Marshfield, to Wayne and Judy (nee Stangl) Casperson. He was raised and received his education in Stratford, graduating from Stratford High School in 1980. He worked locally in the welding and construction industries. He married Marie Degenhardt on March 3, 2003, in Clark County, Nevada, after attending a weekend of NASCAR events. He enjoyed NASCAR, ice fishing and summer bass fishing.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marie, of Loyal; his parents, Wayne and Judy Casperson, Stratford; three brothers, Kurt (Dawn) Casperson, Greenwood, Thad (Linda0 Casperson, Stratford, and Shane (Amanda) Casperson, Greenwood, one sister, Kim (Dan) Spindler, Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

His family requests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, Marshfield.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
